Payment and Insurance Issues
Patients can either self-refer to our programs or be referred by their health care providers or insurance carriers. Call us at our main number and our Referral Coordinator can take the appropriate information we need and answer your questions.
We accept a variety of health insurances – almost all the major carriers – and all types of workers’ compensation insurance coverage. Please call 303-368-4500 or email us to see if we are in your insurance network.
Upon referral of an insured patient we will call the insurance carrier to verify benefits and to ascertain if any pre-authorization is necessary.
Patients who are not using insurance can arrange to finance the charge for care in our programs over time if they wish. We also accept Visa and Mastercard for any co-pays or co-insurance for which a patient is responsible.
Assessment
Patients referred to our programs all go through an assessment to ascertain the appropriate level of care for them and the suitability of our programs for their care.
Assessment in Head Injury Rehabilitation includes neuropsychological testing so that we can accurately diagnosis the extent and nature of any cognitive deficits the patient has. This includes psychological testing to assess how the brain injury is impacting a patient’s emotional status.
Assessment in the pain programs is designed to pinpoint exactly how much the pain condition is impacting home life, family life, emotional stability, and overall quality of life. Particular attention is paid to prescription medication issues which may have led to a compromised level of functioning or dependence or abuse. In assessment and in treatment as well we can include consultation with affiliated practitioners from the fields of Addictionology, Pain Medicine, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine, and Chiropractic care.
